After 3 months of living in sunny California, I discovered it’s entirely possible to miss snow. No matter how miserable the endless snow days in Canada felt, I deeply miss seeing snow to my knees, walking out the door to crisp refreshing air, and memories of tobogganing down the hill outside of my grade school.
In an attempt to find snow this winter, I took a road trip to Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah where I shivered in my snow jackets and hiked in the brisk air. It was a breathtaking trip and I fell in love with Utah in a way that I never expected.
Here’s to more winter hikes and beautiful sights in 2014. Happy new year!

I love Bryce, but have only had the pleasure of visiting during the summer. The snow added another unexpected edge to the beauty.
My hometown! Beautiful pictures.
